19 mm thick and thicker walls: the new V8 profile makes the mast extremely rigid. The cross-section is the same as the V7 mast, which gives the same mast weight per cm.

3cm narrower: the reduced string brings more glide and efficiency in flight.

The new V8 top plate continues to use the innovative side bolt solution of Starboard Foils for a rock solid connection. A generous fillet radius has been added to the base to strengthen the connection between the mast and the board.

Compared to the V7 system, we lose the adaptability of the Deep Tuttle as the new V8 mast is 19mm thick: thicker than a Deep Tuttle box.

A 1.5° mast angle spacer is supplied with each mast set. Use this spacer to raise the nose of the board in flight, if it is pointing too far down.
