Wing Set DUOTONE Aero Carve 2.0 SLS

Our team riders wanted wings with more glide, more speed, reduced drag and improved handling, while retaining the Aero Carve trademark: high-speed control.

We decided to start from scratch and changed virtually all the design parameters: new profiles, new outline, new curvature, higher aspect ratio, and new twist along the wing. Each wing size has been independently designed to best suit its intended range of use.

For example, the largest wing (1430) has the lowest aspect ratio and the thinnest profile, to maximize handling and reduce drag. In contrast, the 850 has the highest aspect ratio and thickest profile, to improve lift and delay stall on such a small wing.

Carve 2.0s are ideal for tackling established waves. What they sacrifice in terms of glide compared to the Free or Glide, they make up for in superior speed and surf maneuverability.

Carve 2.0s are also the preferred wings of our team riders competing on the Freestyle World Tour. They allow them to load their jumps with more speed, which translates into a more explosive pop. The medium aspect ratio also means that violent landings are much less stressful for the rest of the equipment.

With their moderate aspect ratio, the Carve 2.0 are also excellent Kite Foil kites. Thanks to this moderate aspect ratio, kiteboarders can lean more aggressively on the mast without the wingtips coming out of the water.

STABILIZER P

Our latest range of stabilizers, specially designed to complement our Carve 2.0 and Glide ranges.

The P series is synonymous with performance! We've increased the aspect ratio of the stabilizers so that they produce more lift while being smaller in area. This has enabled us to reduce drag and increase handling without losing the high-speed control for which our foils are renowned.

P stabilizers are available in four sizes, 165 / 180 / 200 / 220. Each one has been fine-tuned to fit our new front wings perfectly. These new stabilizers are almost completely flat, and have lost the fins found on our other range: the C Stabilizers. These changes have enabled us to free up the feel in the corners, spicing up the behavior of our new front wings.

Our new thin shims allow you to modify the angle of attack of your stabilizer in increments of +/- 0.3 degrees, so you can take full advantage of daylight conditions or adapt your foil to your style.

The Aero Carve 2.0 SLS 850 has it all: it offers instant response in waves, exciting speeds for winging and kite foiling, incredible pop for freestyle, and reduced glide and drag efficiency to get through flat sections. This is the kite to have in your equipment! Slightly larger aspect ratio than the 850 D/Lab and a slightly more cambered profile give it better pumping and gliding ability, but a slightly lower top speed and less aggressive turning ability.

The 1100 is the mid-size and most popular member of the Aero Carve 2.0 SLS family. Intermediate riders will choose this kite for surfing small to medium waves, and freestylers will love it in light to medium wind conditions. Best suited to heavy kitefoilers or light conditions, the 1100 SLS is an excellent all-rounder that offers a gliding feel for its size and ease of use. It can also be used for prone surfing, where its turning ability is matched only by the smaller Carve 2.0s, although realistically it won't pump as well as our other larger aspect ratio front wings. Slightly larger aspect ratio than the 1100 D/Lab and a slightly more cambered profile give it better pumping and gliding ability, but slightly lower top speed and less aggressive turning ability.

Our largest Carve 2.0, ideal for light wind winging, small wave days and freestyle for heavier riders. Works well for prone surfing with good pumping ability to get back to the line-up. The slim profile used on this kite keeps its drag relatively low, making it a good candidate even for kite foiling in light winds.
