Prolimit's Mercury series is a proven concept and the most versatile wetsuit in the collection. Featuring Thermal Rebound technology, the Mercury suit incorporates an extra layer between the NaturePrene2® outer lining and the Zodiac inner lining, effectively retaining body heat and preventing chilling for supreme warmth. The 6 mm NaturePrene2® combination around the body ensures essential heat retention, while the 4 mm in the arms and legs guarantee unrestricted comfort and mobility. The FSC-certified NaturePrene2® material is 100% neoprene-free, making the Mercury lightweight, remarkably stretchy and environmentally friendly.

Made with a Neolight Heather 550+ outer lining, the heather fabric adds a luxurious touch to these Mercury suits. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the extra stitching gives the outer lining a softer, stretchier, smoother feel. The two-tone color scheme also highlights areas where the unique Thermal Rebound lining is used. Combined with a quick-drying Velvet lining and Zodiac2 plush inner lining, the Mercury guarantees exceptional comfort and performance.

It features a YKK front zipper for easy entry. Seams are triple-bonded and sealed with liquid rubber mastic, making them durable, waterproof and highly stretchable.

COMB-DYED YARNS

Before laminating, Prolimit has to prepare the lining fabrics. Prolimit uses the comb-dyeing process. This means that they no longer dye the fabric in their production process. The traditional dyeing method consumes a lot of water and energy, and produces large quantities of industrial wastewater and toxic chemicals. Instead of this traditional and common method, they use the comb-dyed yarn method. Comb-dyeing is an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly method.

Comb-dyed yarns are made by adding a colorant to the polymer melt during the spinning process. In short, Prolimit adds color before spinning. This procedure, which dyes the yarn without dyeing it, saves 104 liters of water per kilo of fabric. The advantages of comb dyeing are in line with their aim to manufacture products that respect our planet.

WATER-BASED GLUE

Laminated neoprene sheets are cut into panels and assembled to create a neoprene product such as a wetsuit. All Prolimit wetsuits are laminated using a water-based glue called aqua-a. Unlike traditional glue, water-based glue is solvent-free and chemical-free (it eliminates 99% of impurities). This prevents latex allergies. No need to worry! Of course, the glue does not dissolve in water. Prolimit has ensured that the glue is just as resistant as traditional glue.

PAH, ROHS AND REACH COMPLIANT

Prolimit coveralls are PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) free and 100% Reach compliant. Reach compliance means that Prolimit has successfully banned the use of extender oils in their neoprene sheets for a better environment. REACH is a European Union regulation, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment against the risks that chemicals may present in the production process.

PAH-neutral neoprene offers improved characteristics such as weight and elasticity, and also prevents skin irritation. Prolimit has banned the use of extender oils in their neoprene, which is better for your skin and nature

SOYA OIL

Soybean oil, one of the components of NaturePrene2, is an edible oil extracted from soybeans. It is 100% vegetable oil.

FSC CERTIFIED

The Forest Stewardship Council controls and confirms that particular areas are managed in accordance with FSC principles and criteria.

100% NEOPRENE-FREE MATERIAL

From petroleum-based chemicals to limestone neoprene (mountain mining) to NaturePrene, NaturePrene 2 is now made entirely from natural rubber harvested from FSC-certified rubber plantations. USDA-certified, 80% natural rubber, 20% recycled carbon black and enriched with oyster shell powder and soybean oil.

OYSTER SHELL POWDER

Harvested from oyster shells washed ashore, the powder is an important enriching component in the Nature-Prene 2 rubber compound.

ECO-FRIENDLY CARBON

Carbon black is a key ingredient in neoprene production. Our eco-friendly carbon black is made from recycled tires. The tires are shredded and transformed into carbon black powder. Unlike traditional carbon black, this method reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions,

this method reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions by 200g per combination.
