After working on ergonomic designs for several years, MANERA's goal was to push its frame concept towards greater rigidity, to allow for better support and a less bulky harness.

But a 100% rigid frame was not an option: our back needs adaptability and the human morphology is unique.

So here is the ECLIPSE, a balance between stiffness and flex that provides support where it is needed, while ensuring good freedom of movement.

The stiffness of the adaptive shell changes from hard in the central area to softer at the edges. The rigid center belt prevents the harness from bending and compressing your body while maintaining good lumbar support. The softer contour preserves intuitive mobility and adaptability.

The result is a shell that is forgiving where you need flex and stiffness where you want support.

Gel foam disperses pressure evenly and efficiently to provide "pillow-like comfort", which is highly appreciated during long sessions

It creates a different feel when riding as it moves with your movements, so contact with the harness is more intuitive and it prevents any rash or discomfort from rubbing.

TUCK FLAPS further assist the DOWN HOLD SYSTEM by using the flaps positioned at the ends of the spreader bar and inserted into the harness. Once the straps are tightened, they are compressed and locked.

By strengthening the connection between the harness and the buckle, they prevent it from riding up.

We wanted to avoid an unpleasant lateral contraction of the sling on the chest, so we adapt our spreader bar to the sling sizes.

A properly fitted spreader bar will pull along both sides of the sling, while a spreader bar that is too small will pull at a sharp angle, putting pressure on the rider and causing annoying pain.
