Sac à dos DAKINE Poacher 14L
DAKINE Poacher 14L Backpack built for the mountains, balancing comfort, stability and quick access to essentials. Ready for resort days and off-piste missions.
DAKINE Poacher 14L Backpack
The recycled high-density nylon shell stands up to abrasion and cold conditions. The molded, snow-shedding back panel limits buildup to keep your back dry. A Snow tool pocket with dedicated sleeves holds shovel and probe. The fleece-lined goggle pocket protects your lenses. Vertical snowboard carry and diagonal ski carry make hike-to sections easier. Stability comes from the 38 mm hipbelt with hip wings and the sternum strap with whistle. Hydration routes through an insulated sleeve, and two-way radio compatibility keeps comms simple. Compatible with the DK Impact Spine Protector sold separately. Two colorways available, Black and Griffin.
Technologies
Recycled high-density nylon resists abrasion and lowers environmental impact while staying supple in cold weather. The molded back panel with a snow-shedding treatment helps snow slide off and improves against-the-back comfort. Insulated hydration routing helps prevent hose freeze on long, exposed climbs. Two-way radio compatibility enhances group safety on approaches and committed lines. Accepts the DK Impact Spine Protector to add back protection without restricting mobility.
Benefits and Use
Compact and well-balanced, it’s ideal for resort day missions, bootpacks and short splitboard approaches. Organized tool access boosts confidence when it matters, while the diagonal ski carry is quick on steep terrain. The molded, snow-shedding back panel maintains comfort through back-to-back laps. The 38 mm hipbelt stabilizes the load on the descent. The vertical snowboard carry keeps you free to move on exposed traverses. Dedicated pockets protect goggles and sensitive gear.

Rider Tips
Stow shovel and probe in the Snow tool pocket for instinctive access. Set the diagonal ski carry on the outside of the slope when bootpacking. Tighten the 38 mm hipbelt on your iliac crests to stabilize the pack. Route your hose through the insulated sleeve to reduce freezing. Choose this 14L size for day missions; consider a larger volume if you carry a rope or a bulky puffy.
Factor in your intended use—freeride ski backpack, 14L snowboard backpack, daypack and backcountry snowboard—to match your needs.
