Pendulum - Suspended from a fixed point so that it can swing freely forwards and backwards. The Flyweight Pro is based on a new style of board design where the rider shifts his weight further forward and the profile of the board allows the rider to pump with more forward momentum. Created with a thicker profile, a deep V in the middle and an exaggerated bevel on the outside that repels water as soon as the board touches the ground, the Flyweight Pro is a board that gives the rider greater control over water and waves. The result is a board that allows you to rise and start moving forward even after touching the water's surface. A faster, lighter board that will turn with more angle of attack.

A lighter spirit is better blended with carbon strings for more snap. Our lightest core makes swing weight a thing of the past, with carbon in the tail for more durability and more power in every pump.

BEFORE WE EXPLAIN...

why Ronix took the time to create a range of aluminum products, let's take a trip down memory lane. Ronix 's foiling journey began with foil modeling in the summer of 1984 on the Colorado River. It was such a wild experience with speeds as slow as 5mph but the exhilaration as if they were going 25mph. Ronix used foils on kneeboards, wakeboards and even combination skis - yes, this is a true story - they flew on two skis (it was pretty sketchy). Mike, Herb and the rest of their team had some extraordinary levitating experiences, which led them to build the famous original inflatable chair a long time ago. Foiling has never left Ronix - for four decades, levitation has been part of their DNA as enthusiasts and creators.

HERB O'BRIEN - A visionary of hydrodynamics

The greatest mind in water sports, born on July 27 (7/27) 1944, is considered the pioneer of modern compression-molded water skiing, wakeboarding, wakeskating and wakesurfing, as well as the man who changed water sports footwear forever. As one of the main founders of Ronix, his never-ending spirit of innovation will live on forever. Foiling is so unique that it requires the very best in hydro and aerodynamic design. If you focus solely on lift and speed, you risk sacrificing stability or responsiveness, so finding that crucial balance between the two is essential.

ED O'BRIEN - An aerodynamic visionary

Herb's father was also born on July 27 (7/27) 1910 and grew up in the Seattle area. Ed had a distinguished career in aeronautics. He was one of the main engineers on the B17 and B47 aircraft, the Bomarc and Minuteman missiles, and also worked on the 727 aircraft. His methodical mind led him to draw up the plan for the most historic private research and development center ever built by man: Radar Lake.

As a tribute to these brilliant people in their respective fields, combining the best attributes of foiling (hydro and aerodynamics), Ronix is proud to present the 727 series: a collection of products paying tribute to two people who both lived in a state of mind of permanent product revolution.
