The Slice V2 is primarily designed for flat water and wave riding, but that doesn't mean you can't jump and try freestyle tricks with it, because it's quite capable !

CLOSED CELL FOAM 50K

It all starts with the core, and every board manufactured starts with a core of the brand's own 50K closed cell foam. This foam is formulated exclusively for it, so it is used exclusively in APPLETREE boards.

The foam can support 50 kg per square meter, while remaining very light and especially very flexible. Another advantage is that it is closed cell, which means that the foam does not absorb water and the board does not burst when it gets hot

100% CARBON FIBER CONSTRUCTION

All APPLETREE foil boards are produced in 100% carbon fiber construction. You want carbon fiber in a foil board for its stiffness and strength: A stiff board will give you the best control and response from the foil.
In addition, the stiffness will make pumping the foil much more efficient. With the carbon fiber, the board is extremely strong while being very light.

Most of the stress in a foil board is in the connection of the foil to the board. This is where the most care and attention is given to get the strongest connection possible.
The foil binding is CNC cut with the board for maximum precision. APPLETREE only uses boxes FUTURE Oneshot because they are the strongest in the industry. The cans are placed in a very high density PET honeycomb panel. This PET honeycomb is itself sandwiched by carbon. This means that there is carbon fiber inside and outside the panel. The open structure of the honeycomb provides a strong connection between the inside and outside, fusing everything together into one solid block.

APPLETREE lamination is also completely different. The brand uses a vacuum technique developed in-house, where all carbon fibers and reinforcements on the board are applied dry. Then all the air is extracted and the epoxy resin is injected under pressure. The result is the tightest possible lamination, with the best ratio of fiber to epoxy. This also allows for a 100% connection to the core, so the boards do not delaminate. Additional pads under the feet prevent heel denting.

The inserts are made of high density block material. They can be customized for position. These blocks are also fused to the core, so they never come loose.

The Appleslice V2 has a relatively compact shape. It's not as short as the Jazz, but it's still fairly compact even though the Appleslice is much narrower. This is useful in waves and races if you hit the water with the rail when going upwind or making tight turns. Throughout the range, increments are in the order of every 10L, so there are sizes to suit everyone.

The entry shape of the Appleslice V2 is quite unique. It features a boat hull type bottom that flattens quickly under the front foot. Similar to a race boat, this hull shape helps deflect water when accelerating. This increases the efficiency of the bottom and you'll notice that the board picks up speed very easily, which means you can comfortably ride a smaller size in volume.

After entering the hull, the bottom flattens out to provide a stable planing surface. The tail of the Appleslice V2 is straight with a hard edge at the end. This bottom is ideal for accelerating and releasing the water, allowing you to reach the foil faster.

The foil rails are placed slightly forward to allow for the use of new high aspect foils that work better when placed further forward. The Appleslice V2 rails are beveled to help deflect water on landing.

The volume of the Appleslice V2 is evenly distributed across the shape, making it easy to balance on the knees. Once on the foil, the board is balanced and easy to turn and maneuver. In the larger sizes, this board is very easy to control when you are still in the learning phase, while the smaller sizes allow the board to improve your navigation.

The Appleslice is aimed at a wide range of riders. The range starts with a very low volume that can also be used as a Prone foil board or for the accomplished rider who can get by with limited volume.

As the volume increases, the boards become easier to ride. The range ends with a 110L in 5'7, ideal for heavier riders in light wind conditions.
