STAB AXIS SKINNY
The development of the much faster ARTPRO wings prompted AXIS to experiment with reduced-chord rear stabilizers to maximize this new speed advantage. With minimal span changes (only 7 mm between them) and drastic chord reductions to 55, 50, 45, 40 and 35 mm, we saw positive gains in speed, control, balance and feel.
The Skinny has inherited many of the features that make our Progressive range so popular, such as precise feel and smooth initiation and recovery of turns.
They have very low drag and liberate speed and turns. The heaviest and least experienced riders will turn to the 55, 50 and 45 chord models, while the lightest and most experienced will choose to reduce drag to the extreme and try the 40 or 35 mm chord options.
Skinny rear wings inspire confidence by offering a more comfortable ride at speed, they reduce the normal build-up of front foot pressure that can be associated with foiling at high speeds.
They're perfectly suited to ARTPRO foils, but don't forget that your HPS, ART, PNG and even BSC will also benefit from Skinny's high-performance DNA.
